Dune is a long, shallow console cut from one piece of red sandstone. Its top rises gently, like a small hill of sand shaped by the wind, so the whole table reads as one smooth landform rather than a top on legs. At only 270 mm deep it is slim enough for places where an ordinary console would block the way.
Dune: stone and finish
The red sandstone gives Dune its warm, earthy colour, and the soft rise of the top shows the grain of the stone. It is polished by hand with the natural texture kept, so it feels smooth to the touch and still looks like stone. Each block is different, which is why every Dune has its own character. A soft cloth is enough for cleaning.
Where the Dune works
Dune fits a narrow hallway, a landing, a space behind a sofa or a long wall under a window. Because it is shallow, it leaves room to walk past. Place a lamp or a few objects on the rise and let the shape do the rest.
