Curl Granite Outdoor Bench
A rounded bench that curls at both ends.
Curl transforms solid granite into a continuous gesture of movement. Its oval seat gently flows into two tightly coiled supports, allowing the stone to become both structure and sculpture. Rounded, compact, and expressive, Curl is a study in how monolithic stone can appear to bend, return, and support itself.
About the Curl outdoor bench
Curl turns solid granite into a continuous gesture of movement. Its oval seat flows into two tightly coiled supports, so the stone becomes both structure and sculpture. Rounded, compact and expressive, Curl is a study in how monolithic stone can appear to bend, return and support itself.
Curl: stone and finish
The granite is dense and fine-grained, with a speckled surface. It is polished by hand with the natural texture of the stone kept, so the oval seat is smooth and comfortable while the coils keep their natural character. Each block has its own grain, so no two Curl benches match exactly. A soft cloth is enough for cleaning.
Where the Curl works
Curl is a compact outdoor bench at 1310 mm long and 400 mm high, so it fits a small terrace, a courtyard or the side of a path. It also works indoors in a hallway or a gallery as a low seat that doubles as a sculpture.
