Santulan means "balance" in Hindi. It has a flat granite top set on two matching curved legs, shaped so that the table looks light even though it is made of solid stone. The two legs mirror each other, which gives the table a calm symmetry. At 380 mm high it sits low and close to the floor.
Santulan: stone and finish
The flat top is granite with a fine, speckled surface, polished by hand while the natural texture of the stone is kept. The two curved legs are finished to match, so the table reads as one piece. Granite is hard-wearing, so the top handles daily use. Clean it with a soft cloth.
Where the Santulan works
Santulan is the most compact of our three coffee tables, which makes it a good fit for a smaller living room, a bedroom seating area or a gallery. The flat top is useful for books, a tray or a vase. Its symmetry works well in front of a sofa or between two chairs.
